Sertanejo and rock n' roll are usually genres that don't mix, but a version of "O Menino da Porteira" sung to the rhythm of "Sultans Of Swing" by Dire Straits went viral on TikTok for its creativity.

While "O Menino da Porteira" is a true classic of sertanejo music, originally recorded by Luizinho and Limeira in 1955 and immortalized in the voice of Sérgio Reis , the Dire Straits hit is certainly among the best-known rock songs.

Part of the band's debut album, the song by the British rock band serves as the basis for Eugenio Tchello to sing the lyrics of the Brazilian track, fitting the melody to the rhythm of "Sultans of Swing".

Published on various YouTube channels in August, the original video has surpassed 21,000 views on the platform. Its biggest success came from another person's account, who posted a snippet of the homemade mash-up on TikTok, which has already garnered over 2.5 million views and 150,000 likes.
